As a Scientist Bacterial Vaccines you will work on the discovery and early development of novel vaccines for bacterial infectious diseases. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating the immunogenicity and efficacy of potential vaccine candidates against several bacterial diseases in animal models
- Develop assays to examine humoral and cellular immune responses
- The development and implementation of new assays to measure immune responses of various bacterial vaccine candidates
- Working in close collaboration with other scientists and technicians in evaluating vaccine candidates
- Some supervision of the work of technicians is anticipated
Wat vragen wij - What are we looking for
For the position Scientist Bacterial Vaccines we are looking for a motivated candidate with some years of relevant experience. Furthermore you have:
- a PhD in biological/medical sciences with a strong immunology/bacteriology background
- Knowledge of immunological techniques such as ELISA, killing assays, ECL, B- and T-cell ELISPOT, proliferation assays, cytokine release assays, intracellular cytokine staining, FACS analysis and cell culturing
- Certified Animal experiemnts (art.9 or comparable)
- Fluent English communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate written records
