As a Mechatronics/Marine Engineer you will translate client requests into a design, model or analysis in the field of (hydro)dynamics and mechatronic systems design. In the early stages of the project it will be your task to determine, within a project team, the functional requirements of moving systems in marine environments (e.g. environmental loads, accelerations, workability). Hereafter you will take responsibility for the design and integration of multi-disciplinary parts of these systems. Works can range from control systems design to functional descriptions and complete performance studies including hydrodynamics.
No project is similar, as TWD provides Marine services to a wide variety of clients in multiple markets. This requires effective client communication and a good insight into translating requirements to a functional and practical design or research question, with optimized solutions to the client specific requirements. To be of upmost efficiency you will need a balance between being practical and theoretical, as most challenges are complex but require a practical approach.
Working at TWD means working in a friendly environment amongst creative, talented and ambitious people. You work in a young, yet professional team where you are offered possibilities to develop yourself while working on challenging and interesting projects. Your job is varied and you are involved from design to execution, in major installation projects of diverse leading (offshore) contractors. We work hard to deliver quality and finish projects on time, but there is also time to have coffee and lunch together and to enjoy fun group activities on a regular basis.
