As a Technical Support Engineer you handle support tickets, answer questions regarding installationn, configuration & product functionaltiy, amongst others, for our customer.

The Technical Support Engineer at Forcare provides support to the our customer and its partners/customers.

A role as Engineer in the Forcare Customer Support team consists of a diversity of tasks and responsibilities. These tasks and responsibilities are varying with the Forcare implementations in hospitals, which makes the job challenging.

Main objectives and activities

● Handles support tickets, takes phone calls
● Answers questions regarding installation, configuration and product functionality
● Provides support remotely from the office, occasionally onsite
● Collaborates, if needed with Development, to resolve complex technical issues and if possible to prevent these issues from happening again
● Updates the knowledge base
● Can provide technical training occasionally
● Can implement technical change requests
● Manages environments (OS + software)
- Upgrading Forcare software / 3rd party products / OS + security patches
- Runs reports, executes Proactive support + monitoring of critical systems
- Updates licenses

Experience

● A technical professional with at least 3 years of experience with supporting complex IT solutions
● Provided support for software products within the healthcare market

Competences

Required:
● Higher education (Bachelor)
● Good verbal and writing skills in English and Dutch
● Operating systems (Windows Server / Linux)
● Database management and writing SQL queries
● One or more script languages
● HTML/XML/SOAP
● Infrastructure and Network troubleshooting

Preferred:

● Proficient with Apache Tomcat (installation, configuration, maintenance)
● Knowledge of Healthcare communication standards (DICOM, HL7, IHE)

Position is in Zeist (can be Eindhoven)
